Overview
This page explains what information is collected when you visit this website or get in touch, and how it is used. This site is operated by David, a freelance photographer and videographer based in Paraguay, who is the sole person responsible for any data described below.
This is a small, independently-run business site. There are no user accounts, no advertising trackers, and no data is ever sold. If anything here is unclear, email mail@david-star.com and it will be answered directly.
What information is collected
The only personal information collected is what you choose to submit through the contact form: your name, email address, the type of service you're asking about, and your message. This is used solely to reply to your enquiry, discuss a booking, or provide a quote.
This site does not currently use cookies or analytics of any kind, so no browsing behaviour is tracked or stored beyond what your web browser and hosting provider handle automatically (see "Server logs" below).
Contacting via WhatsApp, Instagram, or email
The WhatsApp and Instagram links on this site take you directly to those platforms, which are operated by Meta. Any message you send that way is governed by WhatsApp's and Instagram's own privacy policies, not this one. This site has no access to those messages beyond what appears in the conversation itself.
The same applies to the direct email link: once you send an email, it's handled by your own email provider and mail@david-star.com's inbox, like any normal email.
Contact form processing
Messages submitted through the contact form on this site are delivered using Formspree, a third-party form-processing service. Formspree receives the form contents in order to forward them by email; it is not used for marketing or shared further. Formspree is based in the United States; by submitting the form, that transfer is what enables the message to reach David at all.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, the hosting provider that serves these pages automatically logs basic technical information for security and stability, such as IP address, browser type, and requested page, for a limited period. This is standard infrastructure-level logging, not something used to build a profile of any individual visitor.
How long information is kept
Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry or complete a booking, and are deleted afterwards unless you've become a client with an ongoing record (e.g. an invoice or delivered work) that needs to be kept for standard bookkeeping purposes.
Your rights
You can ask, at any time, to see what information is held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Simply email mail@david-star.com. If you are in the EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, though the aim is always to resolve any concern directly first.
Changes to this policy
If how this site handles data ever changes, for example if analytics or cookies are introduced in the future, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will reflect that.
